Joy Behar: Squeezing Time in for Poker

The talents of actors and actresses do not merely end in the television and motion picture industry. When they are not working, they are taking time out by doing things that help them relax and enjoy. And one of the celebrities who definitely know how to have fun is Joy Behar. Despite her busy schedule as a co-host of the television show "The View," actress, writer and comedian, she still manages to squeeze in some time to play poker.

Joy Behar was born on October 7, 1943 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. Before she joined the entertainment industry, she worked as a teacher at Lindenhurst High School, located in Long Island, New York. Perhaps, only a few people know that this celebrity holds a double degree, one in Sociology and another in English Education.

Joy Behar was offered to temporarily co-host the talk show "The View" while television personality Barbara Walters was not available. Because of her effective skills as a talk show host, she was offered by "The View" management to regularly appear on the show.

Some of the motion pictures she participated in were "Manhattan Murder Mystery," "This is my Life," and "Cookie." She was also recognized for her participation in the television program "Baby Boom." And aside from appearing in movies and television, Joy Behar has also been participating in theatrical productions, such as "The Vagina Monologues" and "The Food Chain."

Joy Behar is also an author of books, having written a children's book titled "Sheetzucacapoopoo: My King of Dog" and a book of essays and stories titled "Joy Shtick - Or What is the Existential Vacuum and Does It Come With Attachments." Such books were released in 2006 and 1999, respectively.

Despite her hectic schedule, this female celebrity still knows how to have fun. In fact, she has even found some time to learn how to play poker. She has even learned how to play them well.

This female celebrity poker player loves playing Texas Hold'em. She can be seen in various poker events playing such casino game. The most recent poker event that this female celebrity poker player participated in was at the eighth season of the game show "Celebrity Poker Showdown," aired by the Bravo cable television network. In such event, this female celebrity poker player had the chance to play against such celebrities as Macy Gray, Robin Tunney, Christopher Meloni, and Andy Dick. She did not win first place but still emerged victorious when she finished fourth. Her winnings were donated for the United States fund of the United Nations Children's Fund.

What's good about watching this female celebrity poker player do her poker moves is that her comedic skills always form part of the game.
